This image is based on the ways in which different cultures and societies historically represented the Sun.  From Hungary to India, people have given this celestial body a name and a visible persona.  The title is a play on words...the actual piece takes the shape of a fan and in the modern age people are literally fans of the sun; the symbolic meanings are not relevant in today's society.
