This 5ft sculpture investigates birds and the myths and symbolism which surround them.  The dove is a Christian symbol of peace, whilst Garuda is the Hindu bird of life, the sky and victory.  In many cultures birds were harbingers of both good and bad fortune, the raven being malevolent and the phoenix symbolising rebirth.
