Chocolate Heaven
This piece is a celebration of the World’s most addictive food,
chocolate. The Aztecs were the first to discover the cacao pod and used
to grind it to a paste and add spices to make a hot drink. The art work
doors depict a traditional cacao tree with a quetzal bird in its
branches and an Aztec woman pouring hot chocolate into a drinking
vessel to make it froth and foam. The doors open to reveal more quetzal
birds, chocolate moulds, beaters and representations of the Chocolate God.
